Excitement is in the air as multisport and lifestyle athletes prepare for the much anticipated DUESOUTH XTERRA South African finals that return to the picturesque Grabouw Country Club on Saturday, 20 February 2010.
The local series forms part of the XTERRA Global Tour and athletes will have the opportunity to qualify for the world championship final in Hawaii later this year. The global series span more than 90 qualifying events in 13 countries and take competitors to some of the most spectacular and challenging courses around the globe. Featuring three disciplines, individual athletes or teams of three can tackle the full challenge of the XTERRA, consisting of a 1.5km swim, 25km MTB route and 10km trail run. XTERRA Lite athletes will need to complete a 400m swim, 12km MTB route and 5km trail run.
